hybrid oaks (#1)

$12.00
hybrid parentage:

Bare root seedlings, 1 year old.

Quercus/oak hybrids offered this year:

Bur x English (McDaniels): seedlings of the cultivar McDaniels, a vigorous hybrid of bur oak (Q. macrocarpa) and English oak (Q. robur), sourced from Perfect Circle Farm. Likely a complex hybrid.

Bur x swamp white - this hybrid oaks has great vigor, crops early, and carries traits of both parent species.

Dwarf chinkapin x chinkapin: my favorite hybrid oak to grow right now, this hybrid is a large shrub or small tree (an oak for smaller spaces) and produces an abundance of small acorns.

Bebb’s oak is a naturally occurring hybrid of the bur oak and the eastern white oak. It occurs in the wild where the species overlap. It is known for its ability to do as most oak hybrids do: produce acorns at a young age, generally in the first several years. Not available this year.
