Bare root seedlings. Green hawthorn is self-fertile, though much better fruit production is obtained by planting two or more trees.

Green hawthorn seedlings grown at Feralwood are grown from seed collected from healthy and beautiful cultivars. The cultivar(s) I collect from is known as Winter King, which has the important trait of resistance to cedar-apple rust.

This hawthorn species has a native distribution primarily in the southeastern US, where Feralwood lives. The edible fruits have well-documented medicinal properties, particular to the cardio-vascular system, placing hawthorn berries in a long list of indigenous medicinal foods.
