Orders come as 3 tubers

The following details on each groudnut offering are based on my observational experiences.

Nutty #1: Though I am not convinced that overall yields are the highest with this cultivar, it definitely creates the largest tubers of the groundnuts I offer.

LSU improved: This one produces tubers slightly smaller than Nutty #1, and at present I am convinced this is the highest yielding groundnut I offer.

Treasure: This is my favorite. A vigorous wild selection, it was selected by Kenny Asmus of Oikos Tree Crops. Tubers are larger than standard wild types, smaller than cultivars, and vigor is amazing. While tubers are smaller than bred groundnuts, the yields far exceed other wild types I have observed, and may match actual yields of certain cultivars. Added bonus is that it flowers, which a lot of the bred/cultivar groundnuts do not do.

Wild: Wild groundut is a good option for planting in areas where one does not intend to gather the tubers, such as interplanting in the root zone of American hazelnut shrubs, where the plant can climb the shrub while fixing nitrogen in the soil.

Plant details:
