The hops plants we offer are of an unknown variety. The name was lost long ago. They produce prolific vines and flowers. The flowers are potent, with a strong citrus floral aroma.

While hops are most commonly used in brewing, the flowers make a wonderful herbal medicine to help relieve certain types of anxiety and assist in sleeping. Due to the intense bitterness, a tincture is often preferred to a tea.

Additionally, the young vining tips can be eaten. And with vines that can grow up to 20 feet long, they make great seasonal shade when grown up a structure.
