Seedling trees, bare root. Low-tannin acorns. In general, two seedlings of the same species are recommended for good acorn production. Wind-pollinated.

Native to much of the southeastern US. Suitable to grow in wetland environments.

The acorns of the overcup oak are incredibly low in tannins, making them more palatable and nutritious for wildlife and livestock, and less work on the processing end for human consumption.
