Purple coneflower seed is sold in quantities of 20, 50, or 100.

Seed is shipped dry and should be cold stratified for 30 days before sowing in warm weather.

Depth of seed sowing should be no more than 1/8 inch.

We recommend mixing the seed with sand for scattering on the soil surface, then firmly but gently pressing the seed into the surface, lightly sprinkling soil on top, and then watering in a way that does not dislodge the seed and move it around. Germination should occur in 2 to 3 weeks.
