Seedling trees, bare root, 1 year old

Thornless honey locusts are known to produce true from seed, producing thornless seedlings.

Honey locust is a wonderful hedge species, and the pods are a food source for livestock and wildlife. The sweet pulp within the seed pod can also be extracted for human use.

This year we carry a selection grown from seed collected from the orchard of John Hershey by Living Soil Tree Farm.
