Washington hawthorn seed is sold in quantities of 20, 50, or 100. Seed requires cold stratification and will likely exhibit double dormancy.

Washington hawthorn seed is collected from healthy trees at Feralwood nursery which show no signs of fungal rust. This hawthorn species is know for its resistance to the fungus.

Seed requires a cold stratification for Spring planting. Some seed is double dormant. It is possible that some seed will germinate sporadically throughout the first year, though some will hold off until the following Spring.

The edible fruits have well-documented medicinal properties, particular to the cardio-vascular system, placing hawthorn berries in a long list of indigenous medicinal foods.
